About Varsey Rhododendron Sanctuary

Varsey Rhododendron Sanctuary in the Singalila Range is the best place in Sikkim to see rhododendrons in full bloom, with over 30 species of rhododendron tree painting the forest in reds, pinks, whites, and yellows each April and May. The sanctuary also holds red pandas, Himalayan black bears, and the area’s spectacular bird life, with views of Kanchendzonga rising beyond the flower-covered ridgelines.
