Returns and refunds

The short version
Seven days from delivery to tell us you want to return something, as long as it is unused and in the packaging it arrived in. Damaged or wrong items are our problem and we fix those without argument.
What we take back
- Anything that arrived damaged, defective, or is not what you ordered.
- Unused textiles, decor, bell metal and jewellery, in original packaging, within 7 days.
What we cannot take back
- Tea, once the seal is broken. It is a food product and we cannot resell an opened packet. Unopened packets within 7 days are fine.
- Textiles woven to your measurements or in a colour picked for you. The weaver has already made it and cannot unmake it.
- Items returned after 7 days, or used, washed or altered.
Things that are not defects
Handloom and hand-beaten metal are not machine products. Slight irregularity in a weave, small variation in a dye lot, and faint hammer marks on bell metal are what handmade looks like. We photograph products honestly, and we would rather explain this here than take a return for it being what it is.
Muga silk is naturally golden and deepens with washing rather than fading. That is the fibre behaving correctly.
How to start a return
- Email [email protected] with your order reference and a photograph.
- We reply within 2 working days with a return address, or arrange a pickup.
- Send it back unused, packed as it arrived. We pay the return courier where the fault is ours. Where you simply changed your mind, you pay it.
Refunds
Refunds go back to the method you paid with, within 5 to 7 working days of the item reaching us and passing a quick check. Razorpay handles the reversal, so how quickly it shows up depends on your bank, usually another 2 to 4 days.
Original shipping is refunded only when the return is our fault.
Cancellations
Before dispatch, email us and we will cancel and refund in full. After dispatch, treat it as a return.
