About Siju Cave
Siju Cave on the Simsang River in South Garo Hills is one of India’s longest known limestone cave systems, stretching at least 4.7 km into the hillside with underground rivers, stalactite chambers, and large bat colonies. Only the first section is safely accessible without specialist equipment, but it is enough to experience the scale of the cave. The river setting with forested cliffs is exceptional.
