About Balpakram National Park

Balpakram National Park sits at the edge of a plateau in the Garo Hills, where the land drops sharply into deep canyons at the Bangladesh border — an area the Garo people call the ‘Land of Eternal Wind’. The park protects elephants, tigers, red pandas, gaur, and clouded leopards across 220 sq km of subtropical and temperate forest. The canyon rim viewpoint is among the most dramatic landscapes in Northeast India.
