About Hanuman Tok
Hanuman Tok is a hilltop Hanuman temple maintained by the Indian Army at 7,200 feet above Gangtok. The temple is revered by both military personnel and civilians, and the views from here of the Kanchendzonga range are among the clearest in Gangtok on a good morning. It is a peaceful spot that gets fewer visitors than the city’s Buddhist sites, and the army’s upkeep ensures it is exceptionally well maintained.
