About Himalayan Zoological Park

Himalayan Zoological Park sits at 1,780 metres above Gangtok and is designed as a high-altitude wildlife sanctuary rather than a conventional zoo. The 2.5-km scenic drive or walk through the forested grounds passes enclosures for red pandas, snow leopards, Himalayan wolves, black bears, and Tibetan foxes in a setting that resembles their natural habitat. Closed on Thursdays.
