About Thadlaskein Lake

Thadlaskein Lake, also called Pung Sajar Nangli, is a man-made lake in the Jaintia Hills dug by the followers of a Jaintia chieftain using traditional implements. Fed by perennial springs, the clear lake sits in a bowl of forested hills and is a favourite picnic and sunset spot for locals. It is less visited than Krang Suri Falls but far quieter, and the drive through the Jaintia Hills to reach it is scenic.
