About Agnigarh Hill

Agnigarh Hill in Tezpur is linked to the legend of King Banasura who surrounded this hill with a ring of fire to guard his daughter Usha. The site has been landscaped into a park with circular walkways, sculptures depicting the Usha-Aniruddha love story from the Mahabharata, and panoramic views of the Brahmaputra. It is the most visited landmark in Tezpur and a pleasant hour-long stop.
