About Da Parbatia

Da Parbatia is a 5th-6th century CE temple doorway — one of the finest examples of Gupta-period stone carving in Northeast India. The site, protected by the Archaeological Survey of India, preserves a single elaborately carved door frame with images of river goddesses, Vishnu, and floral motifs of extraordinary craftsmanship. Almost nobody visits it, which makes the discovery feel genuinely personal.
