About Roing

Roing is the gateway town for Lower Dibang Valley and the Mishmi Hills — a wild district in eastern Arunachal where the Idu Mishmi tribe maintains a deep ecological knowledge of their forest. Roing is the base for visiting the beautiful Mehao Lake inside Mehao Wildlife Sanctuary, Mayudia pass, and tribal villages. The town has a small but improving tourism infrastructure and the surrounding landscape is extraordinarily rich in biodiversity.
