About Pasighat

Pasighat is the oldest town in Arunachal Pradesh, established in 1911 on the banks of the mighty Siang River where it emerges from the Himalayas onto the plains. The town is a base for river activities, Adi tribal village visits, and the access point for the Siang valley. The view from the ghat of the wide, braided river against the forested hills is one of Arunachal’s most immediate and beautiful arrivals.
