About Assam State Zoo cum Botanical Garden
Assam State Zoo covers 432 acres inside the Hengrabari Reserve Forest and houses a wide range of Assamese wildlife including one-horned rhinos, tigers, leopards, pygmy hogs, and over 100 species of birds. The adjoining botanical garden adds a tranquil walking dimension to the visit. Closed on Fridays, it is the most popular family attraction in Guwahati.
