About Sangti Valley

Sangti Valley is a serene Himalayan valley near Dirang where the Sangti River winds through kiwi and apple orchards, riverside camping meadows, and — in winter — the sacred ground of black-necked cranes migrating from Tibet. The valley is one of the few places in India where you can watch these rare cranes in their winter habitat.

How to Reach

  • From Dirang: Approximately 10 km (20 minutes by road)
  • Permit required: Inner Line Permit (ILP) for Indian citizens
