About Rih Dil Lake

Rih Dil is a heart-shaped lake that holds profound spiritual significance for the Mizo people — Mizo folklore believes the souls of the dead must pass through this lake on their journey to the afterlife. The lake actually lies across the border in Myanmar, but is clearly visible from the Indian side near Champhai. Sacred, beautiful, and hauntingly atmospheric.
