About Nartiang Monoliths

Nartiang houses the largest group of monoliths in Meghalaya — tall standing stones (menhirs and table stones) erected centuries ago by Jaintia kings as memorials. The ancient Durga temple beside them is still active. Together they form one of the most atmospheric heritage sites in the Northeast, virtually undiscovered by mainstream tourism.
